Beyond the Walls

This itinerary unfolds outside the city’s ancient walls, along a route that links the aristocratic beauty of Chiaia with the grandeur of the Vomero.
It’s a path that embraces Naples from the outside, tracing an arc from the seafront, past the monumental centre, and up to the hill of San Martino.

This route blends nature and art, historic architecture and breathtaking views, refined culture and popular memory.
It’s the perfect itinerary for those seeking a greener, more elegant, scenic, and surprising Naples.

Percorso 5

From noble residences to the heights of Vomero

The itinerary begins at Villa Pignatelli, an elegant noble residence and museum overlooking the Riviera di Chiaia, and ends at the Duca di Martina Museum, nestled in the greenery of Villa Floridiana, one of Naples’ most beautiful panoramic spots.
In between: Baroque churches, seaside castles, historic squares, art galleries, monumental stairways, and civic and religious landmarks.
Above all, it’s a continuous rise and fall — through sky, sea, and memory.
