From 6 May to 6 September 2026, Gallerie d’Italia – Naples hosts “OBEY: Power to the Peaceful”, an exhibition dedicated to the American artist Shepard Fairey, one of the most influential figures in the contemporary urban art scene.

Emerging from skate culture and the underground graphic movement of the 1990s, OBEY developed a powerful and instantly recognisable visual language, capable of transforming the codes of propaganda into tools for critical reflection. Posters, screen prints, murals and works on various media become visual manifestos designed to engage the public on environmental, social and political issues.

Curated by Giuseppe Pizzuto, the exhibition features more than one hundred works, including unique pieces, screen prints, HPMs (Hand Finished Prints) and works on different materials.

At the core of the exhibition lies the concept of peace, understood not as an abstract idea, but as an active choice, a collective responsibility and a possibility for transformation.

Naples—a city of contrasts, rebirths and layered visions—becomes the ideal setting for this narrative: a place where urban art meets history, public space and the desire for change.
