A major exhibition at the MANN dedicated to the myth of Parthenope and the profound bond between the founding siren and the city of Naples.
The exhibition “Parthenope. The Siren and the City” takes visitors on a journey through myth, archaeology, history and urban imagination.
The exhibition explores the figure of Parthenope as a founding symbol of Naples, moving through ancient artefacts, iconographic testimonies and contemporary reinterpretations.
Featuring more than 250 works and loans from numerous museums, the exhibition reveals the complexity of a myth that continues to live on in the city’s culture, identity and collective narrative.
